Psalms in a year

This year Revd Caroline would like to invite us all to spent more time with the Psalms.

Congratulations to everyone who completed the 2022 Challenge of reading the whole Bible in a year!

Well done. It was a tremendous achievement. Some weeks were quite hard going, but there was always something new to learn, to ponder upon and to challenge what we thought we knew! Also, well done to those who read more of their Bibles than in previous years. This is a good habit to develop.

This year I would like to invite us all to spend more time with the Psalms – there are 150 so we can take approximately three a week.

Set aside a regular time during the week, be prepared to slow down to read the Psalm, enjoy this time with God. Whilst reading the Psalm pay attention to any verses that particularly resonate with you and write these out in a notebook or journal.

By the end of the Year you will have created your very own Song of Praise, your very own Psalm. Remember that it’s ok to express your frustration and your angst to God – you will discover verses that will help to express this.

If you would like to talk with me about your Psalm and your walk with God, please do phone me or email, I would be very happy to accompany you on this journey.

Also if you do not have a Bible of your own but would like one, again, please contact me,

Yours in Christ,

Rev’d Caroline
