The Revd Gay Maynard, a retired priest in our Deanery, and a member of our link group with the Diocese of Maridi in Sudan and South Sudan will be speaking about our support for the Diocese of Maridi.
Gay has visited the area and has much to tell us and to inform our prayers about what is going on there. Please come along to hear more about it.

Prayer for Maridi
Here is our Deanery Link Prayer for you to use in your prayers:
God our Father, who Son Jesus Christ wept over your people who knew not the way of peace and were as sheep without a shepherd. Hear our prayer for the people of Sudan and South Sudan. Turn the hearts of their leaders to reconciliation and peace.
Bless Archbishop Ezekiel and Archbishop Justin and their clergy, especially Bishop Moses and Maridi Diocese, that they may be true shepherds of your flock.
Strengthen those who heal the wounded, feed the hungry, teach the children and work for peace.
Hasten the time when all the nations will own your just and gentle rule, and receive your gift of peace, in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
