Some choosing to visit the Donkey Sanctuary and some to venture into Sidmouth for some sea air. Joining up again after lunch, we proceeded to Ottery St Mary Garden Centrefor a short tea break and returning home in time for members to attend their Garden Club meeting. We were well looked after by our organist and bus driver Richard, who ensured that we all had a safe journey and a very enjoyable day out.
On Mary Sumner Day August 9th we were invited to join Westbury Mothers’ Union for their Tea Party to celebrate the anniversary of our founder, where we enjoyed a friendly welcome and chats over tea and delicious home made cakes.
