Friday 15 September 7.30pm
Holy Trinity Church, Dilton Marsh
On Friday 15th September at 7.30pm we look forward to welcoming Gregory Steward for a very entertaining musical evening of classical favourites and ‘Songs from the Shows’. This was the concert that was postponed earlier in the summer.
Gregory, 23, graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with a First Class Honours Degree in Music. Prior to commencing his studies, he was a joint specialist vocal and trumpet scholar at Wells Cathedral School. Gregory won the Taunton Young Singer Competition. Gregory was a semi-finalist in the prestigious Somerset Song Prize, a National Competition for singers up to the age of 25.
Gregory has performed Britten’s War Requiem and Handel’s Messiah, with the BBC National Chorus of Wales both at St David’s Hall. More recently he performed with the Exeter Festival Chorus as the Evangelist in The Christmas Story by Schutz and the same role in Stainer’s Crucifixion at Taunton Minster.
Since graduating he has been enjoying performing concerts in towns and villages in the South West as he embarks on his solo career.
Tickets are £12 and can be obtained from Garth [01373 822414] or pay on the door.
