Summer of Hope.
This year our prayers are again needed for people wherever they live in the world, whether they are experiencing the tragedy and trauma of conflict, violence or natural disasters or struggling with the everyday stresses of modern life.
As Mothers’ Union we continue to build communities where everyone can thrive.
This summer, our focus is turning “Hope into Action.” It may be when someone unexpectedly has to go into hospital, when a parent goes to prison, when a baby is born prematurely. We help Mother’s Union to be there to support, to strengthen communities worldwide and transform lives. Here in the UK, the cost of living crisis is adding tremendous strain for families. Mother’s Union helps parents and children facing adversity to have a much needed break away together. The “Away From It All” holiday caravan at Rockley Park, which is supported and used by our own members, is one of the ways in which we can locally support this “Summer of Hope”.
Our annual garden party which raises money for this cause is on Thursday 6th July at 3.00pm at Melon Grove Dilton Court Farm by kind permission of Michael and Jane Brake.
A quote from; 2 Corinthians chapter 9: verses 7-8
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give. Not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
