This Easter Westbury Junior and Infant schools enjoyed visits to All Saints for their Easter services. It is really good to know that both schools are learning about the events of the first Easter and that the children are able to re-tell the story, share their prayers and enjoying singing Easter songs.
Experience Easter
It was a joy to share Experience Easter with Westbury Juniors and Bitham Brook schools at All Saints, and also Westbury Leigh and Dilton Marsh schools at Holy Trinity. Here are some photos of Westbury Juniors enjoying the Experience at All Saints. We also had some lovely comments from Mr Percy at WJS:
A huge thank you from us for today. As usual, all your volunteers were amazing and so accommodating – especially for our 4 Complex Needs Resource Base pupils. The activities were wonderful!
It was great, the children got a lot from it, remembered lots which was great and please pass on our sincere thanks to all those who made today happen.
Mr Percy WJS
Here are two quotes from our children that we wanted to share with you:
” I knew it! I knew the Easter story and today I showed that I could remember it all!”
” I like going to Church. It is a very peaceful and calming place where children always are good because it is nice and it is calm.”
These made us smile on the walk back.
We are currently preparing for Experience Pentecost which will take place in May.
If anyone is available to help with this please be in touch with Helen Durant-Stevensen.
