Taking the Bible into our local primary schools
Over the last six and a half years the Open the Book team has been presenting Bible stories in four primary schools in the Westbury area.
We are all very pleased to be back in schools since the pandemic in March 2020. Open the Book offers a programme of themed and dramatised Bible stories around 10 minutes long that fit comfortably into Collective Worship / Assembly time in schools.
Our team of volunteers are members of the White Horse Team, Methodist Church and the Baptist Church. We enjoy working together, sharing a sense of humour and willingness to enter into the drama of the scripts. Using a variety of visual aids, we aim to present Bible stories in ways that are lively, engaging, informative and great fun for everyone involved especially the children.
