Celebrating the Licensing of Caroline Husband

On Thursday 15 March visitors from near and far travelled to All Saints’ Church Westbury to celebrate the Licensing of Revd Caroline Husband. The evening started with a quarter peal rung by the Westbury bell ringing team joined by bell ringers from Chilcompton.

The Bishop of Ramsbury, Right Revd Dr Edward Condry led the service supported by The Rural Dean of Heytesbury, Revd Pauline Reid.

More than 175 people attended including members of the other churches in Westbury who formally welcomed Caroline to the Westbury Area Churches Together family.

Members of the congregations of All Saints’, Holy Trinity and Holy Saviour all helped to make sure the church was clean and tidy and decorated with beautiful flowers. They also provided an excellent spread for the post-service reception where there were many lively discussions.

It was a really joyful occasion and we look forward to Caroline’s ministry with us.
