Prayer Diary January 2022

We hope that you may wish to use this list to help you with your own prayers. In this way, we can pray together, as a parish, for our common concerns.

1st We pray that God will guide us all in the coming year.

2nd For all Keyworkers who have been working throughout Christmas and New Year.

3rd For the work of Missionaries throughout the world.

4th For all who continue to work towards combating the Corona Virus.

5th For the work of Dorothy House and of the hospice movement.

6th Epiphany: For us to reflect deeply on God’s revelation in Jesus Christ.

7th We pray for all those training for and working in the Ministry

8th Roads to God: We pray for all in Clay Close and Shepherd’s Mead.

9th For all the students and staff at Fairfield College

10th For those who are suffering from illness and for their carers.

11th National Slavery and Human Trafficking Awareness Day.

12th For the work of Westbury Area Churches Together.

13th For our Lay Ministry Team and Lay Pastoral Assistants.

14th For the residents and staff in our local care and nursing homes.

15th For all who rely on food aid, both here and overseas.      .

16th World Religion Day: For inter-faith understanding and harmony.

17th For our fellow Christians in the South Sudan.

18th For all involved in the manufacture, distribution and sales of food.

19th For our politicians and their advisors to make the right decisions.

20th For the anxious and depressed, may they find peace of mind.

21st We pray for all those who reside and work in our prisons.

22nd We pray for our children, grandchildren and all young people.

23rd For the victims of physical and psychological abuse.

24th  For aid workers in war torn countries and disaster areas.

25th For all involved in the Ministry of Healing

26th For the work of our local charity shops.

27th Holocaust Memorial Day: We pray for all those whose families have been affected by the holocaust and subsequent acts of genocide.

28th Lego Day: We pray for all who lead and attend our Lego Church at Holy Trinity.

29th For those without a permanent home, may they find sanctuary.

30th World Leprosy Day: For the work of the Leprosy Mission.

31st For all who have been recently bereaved, may they find comfort.
