Find out how you can help behind the scenes to support our worship and church life at an open session on Saturday 5 February 2022
Are you new to All Saints’ Church? Did you stop doing things because of the pandemic? Are you worried you’ve forgotten what to do or that there are new things that you are not sure about?
Are you someone who cares about our wonderful parish church and would like to help take care of it?
The Churchwardens and a small number of dedicated volunteers have kept things going during the pandemic but for our church to thrive more people need to help out and relieve the pressure on those who have been keeping everything going. For those people it has been hard to focus on worshipping God as they have been busy helping out in our services.
The saying goes “many hands make light work” – the more people who volunteer the less often you have to help!
We are holding an open morning on Saturday 5th February from 10am – 12noon to give you the chance to refresh your knowledge, learn some new things or just see what’s involved and whether there’s anything to suit you. There’s no obligation – just come along and find out more.
We are looking for people to do these tasks
- welcome people to our services
- open up and close the church
- operate the projector
- operate the sound system
- operate our new livestream facility
- help out at weddings and funerals
- serve refreshments
- clean and tidy the church
- carry out regular maintenance jobs
- help make the church ready for visitors
- support our services by preparing the altar
There will be refreshments available.
