Open Westbury Food Project is currently giving out at least 50 food boxes to individuals and families in need. There are fewer donations from the supermarkets and so stocks are low. We are therefore appealing for more donations for the coming weeks.
The team at Open Westbury Food Project are preparing Christmas food boxes to give out in December and we are therefore asking if people could consider donating any of the following items in the coming weeks
- Tins of meat
- Tins of potatoes
- Tins of sweetcorn
- Tins of carrots
- Jar of cranberry sauce
- Gravy granules
- Christmas pudding
- Mince pies
- Packet of custard
- Tins of fruit
- Packets of sweet biscuits
- Box of chocolates
- Packets of nibbles eg crisps or nuts etc
- Chocolate log or Christmas cake
- Soft drinks (plastic bottle and no alcohol)
- Other items may be included, but no alcohol, cigarettes, vouchers or perishable food
We are asking for donations of new (or nearly new, good condition with all the pieces) board games for boxes going out to families.
We are hoping to add an Advent Calendar with the Christmas story for those boxes going out to families. If you would like to support the purchase of Fairtrade calendars which are £4 each please contact Rev’d Rebecca know as soon as possible .
