A Time to Remember Services Sunday 1st November
Every year we hold a service to remember our loved ones who have died, to which we invite families whose funerals we have taken in our parishes.
This year, with the Covid-19 Pandemic, things have been rather different. Some people have not been able to hold the full funeral service in church as they had wished. We have been working within a number of restrictions in order to limit personal contact, and the transmission of the disease. We know this has been very distressing for some people.
Because of the current situation, we have decided to offer two A Time to Remember Services on Sunday 1 November; one at All Saints’, Westbury at 3.00 pm and one at Holy Trinity Dilton Marsh at 4.00 pm. We are sending invitations to those whose family funerals we have conducted in our churches, or at the Crematorium or cemetery.
However, if you have suffered a loss in your family where the funeral took place elsewhere, you and your family would be very welcome to come to this service.
We are inviting you to attend the Time to Remember Service of your choice, as an opportunity to remember your loved one. The services will be short and simple, with suitable readings, music and an act of remembrance. We hope you will be able to come with members of your family.
Booking is essential so please contact us on email@example.com
We are asking everyone who would like to come, to book their seats for these services. This is so that we can arrange the seating appropriately in advance and ensure that we have enough seats socially distanced for as many people as would like to come. Families can come in groups of up to 6 people, according to the current regulations.
We would ask that you reserve your seats by Monday 26 October at the latest. Unfortunately, we shall not be able to guarantee seats if you book after that date.
We can also assure you that we are doing our best to ensure our church buildings are safe and clean for everyone, with hand sanitiser available. You will be required to give us your name and phone number upon entry to the church, for NHS test and trace, and you will be required to wear a face covering.
If you require any further information, please be in touch with one of the clergy team.
We look forward to hearing from you.
