Life After Lockdown – your views wanted

We are still waiting to hear more information from the Church of England and the government on the proposed lifting of restrictions from July 2020.

The White Horse Leadership Team have been thinking about the losses and gains during ‘Lockdown’ and what our experiences will mean to us as we begin to plan for reopening our churches once more.

Life is unlikely to be the same for some time and as we begin to plan for ‘life after Lockdown’, we are interested to hear from you about your experiences during the past few weeks and your thoughts on the future.

Four questions….

  1. What have we gained in lockdown that we want to keep?
  2. What have we gained in lockdown that we want to lose?
  3. What have we lost in lockdown that we want to return to?
  4. What have we lost in lockdown that we are happy to see the back off?

Why not download our questionnaire and complete it? Or just email your response to us.

When you’ve completed it please
email it to office@whtministry.org.uk or
pop it it into the Parish Office post box or
post it to Team Office, Parish Hall, Church Lane, Westbury, BA13 3BT

Please complete and send to us by Friday 26 June 2020.

Thank you!

I have read that even when Churches are allowed to re-open the singing of hymns will not be allowed. My suggestion is that hymns be included in services, but the congregation read the verses silently (from the pew sheet) whilst the organist plays the hymn verse by verse.
